The children pretended they were explorers. They drew maps and we stained them with tea to give them an olden days look.
What you need: paper, pens, a couple of tea bags, baking dish to fit paper size.
Make up the tea bath in a baking tray with a few cups of water and tea. Let the tea sit for a while so it colours the water. Get the children to draw their maps and then soak in the tea bath. Hang to dry.
We used hessian to make decorations and placemats. The children learnt to sew. Some made presents for their parents. All you need is hessian, wool, needle and a little patience.
